I normally play FromSoft games and a few indies here and there. I feel like I might play a huge chunk of ten games a year at best? And any year in which a FromSoft game is released (that I actually play, that’s a hint for later), that’s basically all I play other than casual… Continue Reading
In looking back on this year, I have been thinking about the games I’ve played. Yesterday, I wrote a post about how I’m aware of what a weirdo I am, but not how far outside of the norm I am. I can usually understand why normies feel the way they do, but sometimes, it’s just… Continue Reading
The Geoff Game Awards show was on recently, and I watched it with interest. Not for the awards because they were mostly a foregone conclusion. Not for the trailers, really, as I wasn’t expecting anything that would interest me. Not for the cringe-inducing banter, either. You would think that negates any incentive for watching the… Continue Reading
I’ve blathered on long enough about gaming in general, so I’m going to instead lay out my plan/agenda for gaming in 2026 for funsies. Here is yesterday’s post about how I like the Golden Joystick Awards better than I do The Game Awards even though the show itself was, ah, not the best. I’ll just… Continue Reading
I want to talk some more about me and gaming. Here is yesterday’s post in which I talked about indies versus AAA games. Funnily enough, one of the big debates this year for The Game Awards is what is an indie game versus a AAA game. Why? Because Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Sandfall Interactive) is… Continue Reading
Let’s talk more about the games I like and the games I want to play next year. Before I get into that, though, I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by one game in particular this year, but I am not going to talk about this now. You can probably suss the reason why,… Continue Reading
I have one last post in me talking about the ten games that define me. Or, more to the point, the one game that is my favorite game of all time AND that is important to who I am now. Here was my post from yesterday, which was also about Elden Ring (FromSoft) and what… Continue Reading
I am back for one last post about the ten games that define me. I have been all over the map in the prior posts, and in the last one, I spent the entire post talking about Dark Souls III (FromSoft), my all-time favorite game. Well, at least until….I’ll get to that in a minute.… Continue Reading
We are coming into the homestretch of me talking about the ten games that define me or the ten games you need to know I’ve played to kknow more about me. I talked about games 7 and 8 in the last post, and they were both catch-alls for a genre rather than noted just for… Continue Reading
I’m back to talk more about the ten games that define me. I have managed to write about six in two posts, which is pretty good for me. They are in no particular order, though I’m doing them loosely chronologically. I think today I will focus on two games that represent categories of games, rather… Continue Reading
